Call of Duty Black Ops 2

I believe it just includes the Nuketown 2025 map pack DLC, having looked online.

To a total noob who just had to google what DLC meant, could you explain why I'd want that?

Also, do you know what the "season pass" is?

Sorry for all the questions! Old Call of Duty's were never this complex!!

Thanks :)

DLC, as you've now found out, is short for downloadable content. Most commonly that means new maps that extends the game by adding more variation and something new to explore for those who bought the game at release and are perhaps tiring of playing the same levels a few months on. If you buy the game a while after release it's not unusual for the publishers to bundle this extra content with the standard game.

Having googled the Call of Duty season pass (http://www.callofduty.com/uk/en/blackops2/dlc/seasonpass), it looks as though it simply entitles you to 4 of the existing DLC packages available at a discount price for purchasing them all together.

There's no need to purchase these extras. The standard black ops II will include Zombies on the standard maps. DLC maps will add more variety to the game if you foresee playing it a lot and wanting a few alternative environments to play on.

(I don't have black ops II myself, so can't tell you whether the new map DLCs are good or not)

The standard Black Ops 2 zombies is RUBBISH ... stick to the original black ops for zombies, they are much more fun. I've never played the DLC zombie maps on black ops 2 so can't comment on them.

Having played both - I still revert to Kino der Toten on the original for some zombie killing fun. Didn't get on so much with the new zombie maps

TBH i didn't get on with bo2 full stop. It is the first cod game where i continued playing the previous version more than the new version.

Could be that i got quite handy at mw3 and am rubbish at bo2!

I wasn't a fan of the more futuristic elements of campaign mode, much prefer the older vietnam and russian scenarios of the game.
ashamed to say I haven't even had a try out on any of the Modern Warfare series either!

A good add-on if you are playing BO2 is to sign up to Elite. It tracks a lot of your online play and you can even join a clan ;)

I only play "Hardcore TDM" and the 3 new maps on the 1st DLC Map pack are reasonably good, but that's all. Will keep the interest going for a while till I go back to MW3.
I got very bored,very quickly when I played "Zombie"mode.

Why not work your way through the 'titles', find TDM boring after a bit and it's good to change it every once in a while. A good quick way to increase your rank is to play Hardpoint, learn where the next point will be and be first to capture it and you get loads of xp

Might get round to doing that though the"hardcore"options on this game are limited.

I have "issues" with the normal "core" mode so that rules out playing a few of my
other favored styles.
