Getting bored of this now almost 3 years old and we still rave over this game

Need 6 to come out

Any ps3 players here?
 
cod 4 for me too, though 5 had some fun to it...

in the early days they used to be around 20 of us and normally 2 big groups and rip into the americans then totally destroy them was the same on the orginal rainbow six vegas good they was the good days cant wait for call of duty 6

5 was just a waste of time
 
Finally a bit of support

4 is good and all but i get bored of finding all the yanks in all the same spots

Bring out some new maps for god sake its just boring now

I hope 6 is better than 4 and lives up to its expectations.

5 was good on campaign but i still think the most intense campaign game is cod 4 cos you felt in the game

O and for the record had 4 xbox 360's in 1 week from failure of one thing or another.

I was, (am still probably if I had a chance), a hardcore call of duty fan I've owned every one of them and loved each for different reasons. I did own other games but they never had a look in especially fri and sat nights. a couple of beers and I was well away the americans loved me, we even had a clan which sounds a bit sad now especially as I was the leader it was called [COD4] clan, the irony was lost on the Americans...lol It all ended though when my sixth xbox died just out of warranty....boo hooo It did mean I finally got my finger out and concentrated on my photography though...

I still have a while left on my gold so I might even get another cheap one just to play in the eve when missus aint around...lol

I was known as ONFORM on there too.
 
i hate the american spawn campers but i now sit and wait watch there moves and then use it against them set up watch ans sit in a position to sniper them works a treat everytime im in the top 3 99 percent of the time lol i i think this is a great way to annoy them ha ha

I have world at war which tbh, I quite like :)

Being a late comer to the whole PS3 thang (i only got it to shut Matty up) I missed the CoD4 when it was launched.

I need a new game to play at the moment, superbikes isn't quite cutting it tbh, so i'll have to give that back to my brother.
 
COD4 is a classic but once you're on your fifth of so prestige, I agree, it gets a bit tiresome. Still, it's better than WAW, simply because it actually plays with some style; WAW is just poor graphically.

Played COD4 and WAW on PS3 online but it just didn't seem as smooth as Xbox LIVE.

Hoping we get a proper teaser to COD4 Mk2 instead of that cardiograph one that's doing the rounds.
 
Loved COD4, and tbf I really like COD5, especially online. In my opinion one of the best WW2 fps games going (and I play Day of Defeat), But I do agree COD4 had much more to it onliine and in the campaign, COD5 campaign felt tired.

Sawn off shot gun to the face ftw!
 
the p90 has been droped out of call of duty 6 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
best gun of the game on cod 4 oh and not to forget the 50cal sniper that is a sweet gun def better on x box 360 for online but can get laggy at times when they 1st get released but before 9 o clock it is great normally

and i love running around stabbing people i think i had a 6 in a row at one point and it was the americans boy did that go down well after lmao
 
I had to see what the fuss was about with CoD4, I now have it in my collection.... Tbh I don't think I've seen anything so far in it that's graphically superior to world at war.

As daft as it sounds, I liked the real footage between stages.

I dooooooooooo love the red dot action though :D

Xbox for me, WAW was a dissapointment, Soon moved back to COD4...
 
XBOX here for me too, love COD4, still love playing it, nailing yanks has to be one of the best things. I find planting Claymore's at spawn points really pee's them off. So funny to hear them giving you abuse over the live system:lol::lol: Best setup - M1014 Shotgun and G36C Red Dot Sight Machine Gun, with Claymore's. Good for close quarters, and a bit of distance with the G36, Claymore's for the drop and run kill's.:thumbs:
 
Christ this thread is full of people who don't know the dictionary definition of punctuation!

It happens to be predominantly PS3 owners, too ;)

I don't see why you guys don't like COD5... it's effectively the same game with different guns :shrug:

I'm playing COD5 but only because it's the most recent one out and I played COD4 to death. I do miss the beautiful modern guns though. I've seen thompsons and m1 garands countless times.
However, the dogs instead of the helicopter are so much better imo.
A genuine sense of terror and claustrophobia when you see 4 black dogs running towards you as you're desperately trying to get to higher ground.

I can't wait for COD6, but only because I'll be bored by then of COD5.

As far as the single player games go, I think I preferred COD5... COD4 was good, no denying that, and there were some parts in it which were amazing - the boat sinking at the beginning, the nuke going off, storming the television studio... the plane-gun thing, amazing. BUT
I loved sneaking through the jungle, only to have japanese soldiers appear out of the grass, bayonets ready.
Or blazing the japs out of their trenches.
And the russian campaign was awesome.

I genuinely think the voice of Keifer Sutherland actually added to the game, too.

'THEY'RE BRINGING OUT THE DOGS!!!'

Scrap that, I forgot about the 'All Ghillied Up' mission in COD4. Absolutely amazing. Best mission in any game, by far.
