Call from 009?

I'd never usually bother asking, but I've just had a call from "009". I ask because, well, there's 3 digits only!
That's very strange?

I can't answer since I'm abroad, but has anyone had similar ?

I think that 009 is the code from Nigeria ... maybe you're in line for a windfall

not sure if this is any help but dialling code for Nigeria is 009 so could it be one of those scam calls that when you phone back it costs you a packet ??
