Not completely finished yet. I tried to stay away from the Flash/Java approach.

The template is a paid copy from ThemeForest. Tweaked a little.

Some things that I know arn't finished yet:
Portfolio page
Twitter link
Featured page link
More Previews on the home page

ugh... I'm sure I'm forgetting something else but I'm sure you'll point it out to me.

Like what you have done but realy important to get those portfolio's up and running.

I like the theme and colours,

Is the plan for it to be a business site? You definatly need to up the ammount of content for it to be effective.

Also, look to add more information to the page titles at the moment they only show 'home' 'about' etc.

I've always been taught to keep it short and sweet. Let your photos tell the words. I'm not really after google ratings. Theres better ways of getting people to your site than adding words to get it further up the list, assuming thats what you mean.

Aswell as the army saying "KISS" - Meaning, Keep It Simple Stupid.

The more simple, the less to go wrong.

Google rankings is of course one aspect, but missing the info in the title bar makes the site look like it is unfinished IMO.

Cant believe how cheap your prints are... £1.19 for a 10x8 - are you actually making any money on that?

Google is the easiest way of getting customers in terms of ROI though ;)

I've done zero advertising so far for my business, and it's really kicked off JUST from my website / Google (plus I'm now starting to get recommendations, which is awesome).

IMO you NEED to have a presence on Google, as it will help bring you customers that may never have heard of you otherwise, why would you turn that down?

With regards to the website... A few niggles for me;

Theres a line on the background on the navbar, which makes the BG look untidy/unfinished.

Background for the whole site should be black IMO - it doesn't look "right" in white - easily fixed in the CSS

Text... IMO the text is too dark/hard to read... I'd make it a very light grey to increase readability.

There's an odd green line right at the top of the page that doesn't seem to serve any purpose... get rid?

The featured image on the homepage (green banner on the RHS) looks jagged and rough... needs re-looking at in Photoshop.

All meant to be helpful crit :)

Ofcourse I still make money from it, not alot but yeah. I don't make any money on any postage fees though.

For the featured box, I actually thought that was my monitor or graphics card or something... Thanks for pointing tha out I'll try fix that up.

I'll add more text to the top bar but really don't think it will help me much.

Will lighten the text aswell.

The odd green bar is part of the design I bought it with lol, easily changed if I need.

Any tips of getting noticed by Google?

Ive also just noticed the text changes colour between pages, lol. Wow I've lost all of my design credability...

Used to be a graphic designer few three years now I've lost it all :(

I like your site, be great when more images are added. Love the pictures on your home page too of the models, really good.

Your prices per print seem far too cheap imo, asda charge 34p for a 6 x 4 but yours is only 18p!!

I've seen loads of togs charging around £5 for a 6 x 4...?

I'd say at least a couple of quid for a 7 x 5...?

Lol thanks, meaning if you ever need prints you'll buy them from me right? Lol

I think you really need some help with your copy, for a professional website its not good enough. For example

Out of studio and beyond Keighley:
Shoots depend on your budget, location and duration of the shoot. In most cases I require payment before the event. Not because I don’t trust you, but because it pays for my travel.

looks awful. Why bother with the bold bit?

same with

About Me.
Born July 1990. Currently living in Keighley, West Yorkshire.
I see myself as trustworthy, kind and with good manners. I am a little quiet but always love to laugh.
I have a small garage studio where I do family and portrait shots. I also do a lot of on-location shoots.

your birth day is of no interest to your clients, and seeing yourself as trustworthy, others don't you mean?

and your print prices £1.19 is way to cheap for a 10 x 8. Your clients don't need to know you buy from snapfish either. All they do is look at their prices and see 99p for a 10 x 8 and assuming your overchargeing them..........so you have customers thinking you overcharge while making no profit or a loss on prints

the colours aren fine . the layout is fine. the text could do with some work

ie why not say " a deposit may be reqired"

in the about me why not simply state your expience ,location and the type of photography you do, i quite agree that your age

something like
About Me.
living in Keighley, West Yorkshire.
I have a small studio for doing family and portrait shots. I also do on-location shoots for companies and and models

Cheers Steve

I don't think that having a testimonial from your parents(?) looks to great. Also the picture of the skateboarder looks very grainy (maybe you were going for a gritty street look?).

I'd also agree about the paying for your travel comment - sounds like you are spending the fee arriving by Chauffeur.

On the whole though I like the format and style of the site - just a couple of issues with content

Although I like the background coloured lights I think that this space should be used better for example with text on the services and contact page.
