Buying item from Ebay.de

Any ebay experts out there?

I need a part for my car and it's quite rare. I have found one on German ebay but the seller has not ticked the option to ship to UK. I've been in touch with him and he is happy to ship to me at an agreeable price but I cannot do a buy it now because my shipping address is not in Germany.

I've emailed the seller to see if they can change the listing but concerned that they might lose interest if it's a hassle and I really need this item!

So, does anybody know a work around? Set up a fake german shipping address but ask seller to ship to alternative address?

Ask the seller to email you a PayPal invoice and cancel the eBay listing.

Seller will retain protection with PayPal and save on final value fees with eBay.
