Yes
I know equipment is generally not cheap in the US at the moment but does anyone know of a US equivalent of camerapricebuster.co.uk

Obviously have checked B&H, Adorama etc

My sister lives in New York and is coming home for a vist in a few weeks so can happily get things shipped to her from anywhere in the US.

I don't know an equivalent, but I usually check amazon.com because they're generally not too bad on price and have "marketplace" which gives you access to quite a few 3rd party sellers. Then I usually check google.com shopping, which is a reasonable price comparison site.

I think there are some price comparison links at the bottom of the reviews on the-digital-picture.com that you could also check.

HTH.

Thanks I'll have a look at those...I hadn't really thought of Amazon because over here either they or the marketplace sellers aren't as competitive as some of the better known camera retailers. Worth a look though!

Camera price buster need to open a US site!

Couple of other things to consider...
1) the warranty might not be valid in the UK if bought in the US, esp for camera bodies. Worth checking.
2) maybe worth buying from a seller with a good returns policy, therefore if it doesn't work quite right, or you simply change your mind, your sister can take it back after her trip and get a full refund. Again, worth checking and maybe paying more for?
3) make sure she orders out of state to avoid sales tax.

Thanks...yes interested in a lens and a TC so those have international warranties. They don't look especially cheap but battery grips do....just bought one of them though!
