Buying Film in large quantities.

Hi there,

I have only been shooting for about a month now and I only shoot film. I have joined a photo society and asked them whether some members would like to form a syndicate to buy a lot of film cheaper than in the shops.

We're particularly interested in HP5+ and XP2 Super. So I'm asking what sort of quantities would we have to order to be able to buy from Ilford or is there a wholesaler?

Ilford are quite accommodating to large orders, a few years ago I placed an order for about 200 rolls of various films for my uni photography society direct from Ilford, we got it at very competitive prices and they made it nice and easy for us too.
 
If you don't mind rolling your own, get a 400' can of eastman/kodak 5222 Double X. last one I bought was about £120ish and should last you a while, its about 200iso and will push to around 800 IME before getting too rough.
