Buying computer off e bay

I have done in the great "techfurb oopsadaisy"............ but off Joe Public.......... prob not...... who knows whats been on the hard drive!!!!!

I wouldn't chance it unless it was really cheap.

If I was buying a second hand laptop I would prefer to buy from a real shop like Morgan or Big Pockets.

I did, but it was brand new and from a reputable seller

I have in the past but again off a dealer with plenty of good feedback. This was a few years ago and to be honest it is less and less likely that you will get a good discount.

I would. I've bought all sorts from ebay, complete computers and parts, lenses, a race engine for my racing car costing over £2500 (although tbh the market in racing engines for Hillman Imps is small and so it is relatively easy to check provenance in that case ...), even my near new full frame DSLR came from ebay.

So, no problems at all as far as I'm concerned.
