I am looking at buying a Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 telephoto lens for my Canon 300D and have seen two. A DG Macro & an APO DG Macro, please can someone explain the difference and the extra "APO" bit? Thanks
 
The APO has better optics and i had this lens and found it a pleasure to work with.
 
Not going to get technical, you can easily do a search on google for apochromatic. Just want to say buy the apo version. It is much better, a really very sharp lens. Great for the price. Highly recommended.
