Aint it a lovely feeling!

It happens to me approx once per year. Leaving the doctors the amount of 'environmental' sounds i can hear is amazing.
 
Glad it's sorted Keith. I went through a load of ear problems a couple of years back. Cleared up eventually after several lots of drops, antibiotics and oilings. I now try to keep them dry in the bath but just make sure I rinse the outer ear well after sea swims/snorkelling. Touch wood, no problems after many sea swims this year. (For some strange reason, I didn't swim much last year...)
 
Never had trouble with the outside (apart from tinnitus) but my eustachian tubes get blocked and it takes a good month or so to clear. I go very deaf apart from very loud tinnitus and it sounds like im breathing through a snorkel in my head.

Now I use a Neti pot regular its helped massively
 
hmmmm just been to the hospital re getting some hearing aids fitted ,on examination of my left ear he found a calcium spur growth ,which will need looking at ,the audiologists comment was this is usually caused by swimming or snorkeling /diving which i have done a lot of over the years :(:(

Not sure if serious...But Nasally

You tilt your head to one side and forehead down a little. Pour into the higher nostril and a few seconds later water should pour out the other one after working itself around the innerworkings of your head:naughty:

I remember warm oil being out in my ear when I was a child but sure it was almond oil not olive, maybe a case of whatever was available? Deffo not 20/50 anyway.
