A friend of mine is trying to find the location where this 1970's album cover was photographed.
The photographer says it was Abbey Mills pumping station in East London, but none of the photos I've found of that location look anything like this.
This looks more like an electricity generating station.

It's a long shot I know, but any suggestions?

Hipgnosis partner Aubrey Powell said it was shot at Abbey Mills, clearly wrong, and of course Storm Thorgerson is no longer doing interviews...

Those pictures prove conclusively that it was Battersea.
Obviously a favourite location, since it was later used for the famous Pink Floyd "flying pig" shoot.

That was one of my first LPs.

Yep I was sad to hear Storm Thorgerson paased away of late - he did some good stuff.
