OK, I've decided to create a web site, but I'm a bit stuck with installers!
ie. OsCommerce ,Wordpress 2,Mambo, Joomla, Xoops ,SMF,phpBB2, YaBB,Gallery2,Coppermine.

So which should I use?
I pretty computer literate, but would appreciate some help?:thinking:

it depends what you want really.

in that list you have blog software, forums software and gallery software. How do you want to use the space?

I'd probably disregard the forum software as unless you want to keep a forum for friends to chat in it wont lend itself well to displaying images.
 
gallery 2.0 is a popular choice :)
 
MichaelPlace has asked the important question spenser, you need to tell us (and yourself?) what you want the website for.
 
I use pixel post, good if you want a blog type site.
 
I went for an external host [www.smugmug] for both spaces as running my own was both too labour intensive and expensive. I work for a hosting company too!
 
I kept trying to do my own and paid someone for a site in the end. I think it looks better than anything I could ever hope to cobble together myself.
