I'd really like to have a play around with ND filters and try to get some long exposures of water and landscapes during the day. I imagine I would require a set of 2/4/8 stop filters.

Now I suspect that most people will say that you get what you pay for with filters, and i'm sure that is very true.

However for an amateur hobbyist like myself, is there a great deal of difference between a cheap nd filter and an expensive one and what are issues? is there a price point where you see a point of diminishing returns?

essentially, is there a good budget nd filter brand available and what are peoples experiences?

Depend you want square filter or screw inb filter. I use Hitech square filter 0.3, 0.6 and 0.9 standard and Grad set but I use Haider 10 stop screw on filter for very long exposure during day time.

They are both very budget and affordable.

I'll be looking to get screw in type.

Thanks very much for rec recommending the Haida brand - i've just finished reading a comparison between that and the B&W 10 stop filter and it looks like just what i wanted.

Think ill order the 10 stop myself and see how i get on.

Cheers
