That looks ok, but my only problem with it is the way the flash is positioned in the photo, surely you lose a good bit of light spillage from the sides of the flash, as it's not exactly fitted into the softbox very well, or am i missing something ?

Hi. The flash head is fixed to an adjustable slider so you can position it further in if required. Think it would be the same with Lastolite softbox as well. Hope this helps

Regards Dave

For the price this one isn't bad to start with. I bought one a while ago. Only problem I've found is its quite hard to keep the actual soft box in place. With the flash on its quite heavy and I found I have to really tightly screw the tightnerthingy. But it's overall, very stable and cheap :)

Cheers.

I've just bought this one

Cotswold 24" Soft Box

I've not had a chance to use it yet, however assembly is easy and straightforward, as it the reverse. There's a YouTube video that shows how to collapse the softbox to get it back in the storage bag.

This one comes with two diffusers too. Seems well constructed, but time and use will tell on this one.

I have this one also. Very good for the price but be aware that if you use wireless triggers you have to mount the flash sideways.

I also bought my umbrella holders from the same place and they are very good.

But in the photo it looks like the flash will not slide in all the way due to the trigger, am i correct, or am i missing something.

Is that because what i have mentioned in response to the above post ?

I use a long trigger with my cotswold 24" softbox and the way round it not going all the way in is to rotate the head 90 degrees and then the trigger will point to the side while the flash will still fire directly into the softbox as seen in this picture

Thanks Mani, that's what i was thinking. Their appears to be a white piece of material on the front of the flash presumably to stop light spill, is this something you added yourself, or is it already fixed inside the sofbox.
