Please remember you are talking to someone that doesn't know what Jelly bean is :)

My BT sport app has been working fine on my tablet for over a year. Today it said update. Went to update and it says. your device isn't compatible with this version. I called BT. They said uninstall the app then try again. Done that, same result. Your device isn't compatible with this version.

Then they said I need 4.4.2 where my tablet is Android version 4.1.2. My tablet is set to auto updates so the latest version in installed.

Is there anyway around this? An easy way that a novice would understand.

The tablet I have is a Samsung GT-N8010 (Samsung galaxy note 2 - 10.1)

:ty:

Can you do a manual search for an update on your tablet ?

It maybe your tablet won't run / be comparable with the newer update, which is why it hasn't auto updated - worth a manual try though...

Sounds like you have not got the latest update on the tab if what you need is 4.4.2 (kitkat)
Have read of THIS to see if it solves your problem, it also gives the sites for the upgrade.

Thank you both for the help.

I called Samsung and the guy tried to help me. He said because the tablet is 2013 it won't support 4.4.2. But it should go up to 4.2 (I think that's what he said). Anyway, we done a mater reset and let the tablet update itself to see if it goes up to that.

Let us know if this solves it - according to their site, it says you need 4.3, but then says should run on majority of devices running 4.1, hopefully the rest should help...

How do I download the BT Sport App?
Search for 'BT Sport' in the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Select the app, and then press the download button. The BT Sport App will only work with devices meeting the following minimum operating system requirements:

Android devices running OS 4.3 (Jelly Bean) or later
The app is compatible with the majority of Android devices running OS 4.1 or later. However, there are thousands of Android devices on the market, and we're unable to test the app on every one. For this reason, we cannot guarantee that the app will work on your device. We have successfully tested the app on the following devices:

Smartphones:

  • Samsung Galaxy S6
  • Samsung Galaxy S5
  • Samsung Galaxy S4
  • Samsung Galaxy S3
  • Samsung Galaxy Ace 4
  • Samsung Galaxy Note II
  • Google Nexus 5
