So got a new BT Smart Hub today! Took seconds to set up and first impressions are good
Anyone else got one yet?
 
Like to now how you get on with it, I've still got the home hub 5 and not very happy with it at all. Wireless seems to drop out on a regular basis.

I had a HH5 and had wi-fi problems so I had a row with BT and they finally caved and sent me the Smart Hub- I will report on its performance after a couple of days
BT "help" tried to tell me I had too many devices connected to the HH5- thats why it was playing up!!!
 
I too will be interested to see how you get on with it. Recently my wireless speeds have been rubbish and have just had a chance to test using an app on my phone at different points around the house. I have since changed the wireless channel manually to a different channel (tested a few) and have more than doubled the wireless speeds around the house. I have a HH5.

There seem to be a fair few bt home hubs in my area, so no doubt clashing on transmission channels.
 
I've been with BT since the first high speed version, tried every new version of the HH since and, always ditched each one pretty rapidly, now on an Asus router, won't even be tempted to try any further versions unless it gets rave reviews.
 
I had lots of issues with my HH5 until they installed the latest firmware. Recommend making sure you have this installed to anyone have wireless drop out issues
 
just got the smart hub as well - line goes active tomorrow so will see how it goes from then....
 
Well its been a few days now and all is good in the wireless world! No drop -outs yet !
Really it just sits there and gets on with it I suppose, you only take notice of a router when it stops working!!
One thing I have noticed is that the HH5 used to get quite hot but the smart hub seems to run a lot cooler
Wired and wireless have been stable - lets hope BT don't wreck it with a firmware update!

What firmware are you running now - did you manually update and how ?
 
BT carried out the upgrade remotely, I don't know what version it is as now moves away from them
