BT Fibre Optic Broadband package

Just thought i would give a quick update.
I am sure a few of you have seen my posts today about the cable issues etc, anyway.

Having moved the router from the bedroom (had bt phone socket in there, which is an extension from main box by front door), to the lounge, i plugged the router into an extension that is there. Added a cat5e cable going to the pc and now have done 3 speed tests and the slowest one was 3.5mbs

Can't believe it, no more snail pace....woohoo :clap::clap:
 
may as well do a bit more kicking- was with Talk Talk and lost my broadband connection for nearly three months. Only way to get it back was switching to BT. Took TT to arbitration and got a fewcquid back. BT gave me 6 months free line and BB because it was partially their fault (well their wholesale Division BT Openreach). Been witn BT with no probs for 2 years now.

I'd no problems leaving - I signed up with BT and I got one phone call from TalkTalk asking why (really, really poor customer service - I never want to have to phone them again). That was it. BT arranged to come out and put in the hub - I had TalkTalk service until about 3 hours before that and then BT came and I was online with them.

On Infinity - getting 23mb down and 8mb up consistently.
