Looking for a little bit of help here, up until a couple of weeks ago, my iPhone 4S and my btinternet.com email account synced flawlessly but for the last couple of weeks it's been a complete PITA...now I had assumed it was issue with yahoo and BT parting company and it finally having an effect so changed the server to mail.btinternet.com

That worked perfectly but now I'm getting errors and emails are not downloading to the phone again :( with messages about incorrect passwords when it's not :( plus its not sending emails which as you can imagine is annoying when you think they have sent

BT changed from Yahoo based email to it's own. Caused me a real pain as I had thought I had set it all up correctly as per there email.. However I phoned the help line, and actually spoke to someone.

What you have to do is set up a completely new email account. on the iPhone but using your old info . It's not so much of a problem as the iPhone recognises the BT address and configures it automatically. I found though that I had to re input the password on the outgoing mail server SMTP server settings.
