weekly Bruja's 2016 52 - CELEBRATION

Tough choice Jill but No 2 just edges it for me loads of detail and love the patterns in the distant landscaoe

Thanks Mark (y)

Nice two images for Flora, Jill. I think the first one for me - I find the sunflowers themselves more interesting.

The only thought that comes to mind though is to stick on a wide angle and get closer in, so we have some bigger sunflower action in frame, with those fantastic hills and blue sky in the background?? Lovely scenes though (y)

Thanks Paul. But they were taken from a speeding coach on the motorway with my iPhone pressed against the window not with my camera ;) so that was the best I could do :D It would be great to revisit but the crop is over for this year and it's a good 400km away.

Now that's what I call a clothesline. Nice shot for Activity Jill - good detail and lovely b&w tones. (y)

Sign - LOL Jill, you are Soooooo rude sometime ;) That really did make me chuckle. Well taken and cleverly thought out.
Stone - Nicely symmetrical and well lit. I can't help thinking something 1/3rd of the way along the leading lines would have given it more ompf though.
Flora - #2 for me, the deeper blue to the sky gives it more depth for me and good to see a shot for flora that isn't a close up of a flower.
Activity - Well only a woman could come up with "Shopping" ;) :exit: Good image and I think the B&W processing of it works well.

Great "activity" shot! Nicely framed and lots to look at. B&W conversion works well here.

simple - Great shot spot on for the theme.
Sign - liking your humour
reshoot - great colours and PoV
Flora - I like the sunflowers best
Activity - works well in b/w

Thanks Carl, it was a sneaky one with my iPhone in Primark  I was just browsing, honest guv :D

Like that Jill lovely tones in the B&W conversion

Thanks Mark (y)

Hi Jill ....good choice in the B&W plenty of spending activity going on there.

Cheers Susie but it was more like a lot of waiting around activity for the changing rooms :(

Tim, how can you say that, rude, moi??? Subtle is my middle name dontcha know :p

As for Stone the Moors where very inconsiderate in the 9th century and didn't think that hundreds of years later it would make a better picture

Glad you like the different take on Flora

Activity, I was only browsing, browsing I tell you :p But I couldn't resist it as a take on the theme as I explained to MrB why we had to go to the shopping centre......there will be loads of photo ops at the centre and you know I haven't done this week's pic yet....of course I'm not going to buy anything....

Nice bit of Activity, I like people pics. And probably a good idea to go B&W as there must have been a deluge of colour there.

Jill, love the activity, I'm sure my wife is in the queue she normally is, her favourite hobby. Nice conversion in B&W

Hmmmm

Fair point, well presented :D

Well, the good news is there are nekid body parts in this weeks submission. The even better news is they aren't mine :pint:

Cheers David.....there was certainly a lot of colour about, and some colourful language too when people saw how long the queue was :D

Love the signs above their heads - panic buying for imminent party?!

It looks like it doesn't it, but no, it's just the Primark sales :p

Thanks Chris :D

Hi Jill. A lovely take on the theme - birth is such a beautiful and miraculous process. A simple take but such a powerful image for the tenderness and emotion yet to come.

You were right of course, more flesh :D

Nice image Jill, nicely on theme too :)

Nicely composed image Jill fits the theme nicely. Love the subtle nature of the B&W conversion

Really like that, Jill. The b&w works well, though I'd perhaps like a smidgen less white space to the left (that's being super fussy though). Well done :)

Great composition and B&W conversion!

Thanks Carl, right place at the right time :)
