Yes
hi, i was wondering how this cold weather would affect the performance of my camera ie( it's been -6 to -10 here in the nairn area) .Seeing as it's my first day of my hols (only another 17 to go:D:D) i was planning a wee outing today:)

camera prob ok
battery may suffer
carry spare(s)
keep them warm

indeed. Keep them warm. Inside pocket of jacket or something. They wont stop working completely but there capacity will be reduced.

Other thing to be careful of is condensation when you take the camera back into the warm. I think the general modus operandii is to put it all into a sealed plastic bag before you take it in?

All of the above - and be careful where you're weeing ;)

My camera has been moaning about it, and has got the sniffles... so I've agreed to take it to Florida on Boxing Day

where I am...
39 degrees Celsius
high humidity
3.30 pm thunderstorms with 120km winds:help:
whole town(25,000 ppl) powercut for 5 hours
trees down across roads
trees down on houses
current 32 degrees C
high humidity calm
end weather report
(Missus says she wishes she was back in Sunderland):bang:

I want snow.:D

predicted Xmas day
44 deg Celcius
Hot northerly winds
just wrap the turkey in (ant-proof) foil and put it out on the back path for 2 hours...
Just kidding about the turkey...
but on some days we DO wish the northerly was coming from Greenland instead of the central desert...
cyclonic winds are NOT the norm here...
although had one last summer that flattened dozens of homes in the town's south...
The heat is bearable..
It's the humidity that wears you down...
Back to photography... we were at the shopping mall when the storm struck... K100d was snug at home (Dutchman's Anchor)... and had enough to do securing me own house and back yard when we got back so didn't have time to go galavanting for pics... mebbe tomorrow though...
