A new one on me , not seen this model before , One popped up on the face ( thing with pages in it ) site

Not sure if you are aloud to post links to other sites ?

I've had one in my saved searches on eBay for a while. The only thing putting me off is all the electrickery inside it. Prices are silly for something that could brick if you bumped it.

Also there are rumours that the RF was "unreliable" and not always accurate.

I live in hope of seeing one for £9.99 and as none of the trendy YouTubers have done a video on them recently it's obscurity may well create a lucky bargain hunter one day. I love 645 as a format. 16 images per roll and the 4:3 aspect is perfect, and I don't need a bigger negative size.

I was looking at those as well recently. Think I saw one for £1500 from a proper camera shop but I can't remember which one.

Well I agree as there can't be many guys who go above appx 14X16" print and if a lab can do a VG appx 14X16" print from my 35mm neg, just think what it would be like with a 645 neg.

I think I've probably said somewhere on here that the RF645 is/was my favourite camera. I had one for a while and really liked it, probably because I used it as a big P&S for landscapes, rather than as a proper rangefinder. It followed my M3 and Fuji GSW690111 to new owners in due course once I realised that I'm not a rangefinder person, rather than any fault of the cameras. It was said to have a fragility problem with rf alignment, especially with the tele lens, but I never had one of those. Electrics are what they are after all these years, so you'd best be prepared for total loss if you go for one. OTOH, you might have years of pleasure from it if you treat it very gently and are lucky with the electrics.

EDIT: Found that comment!
