I did a fashion shoot on Thursday and took 450 images, on the last 100 or so this diagonal brighter strip appears. It’s exactly same on every picture and I would have changed the shutter speeds. It’s funny took me 2 days to even notice it, think I just presumed was a shaft of light and obviously only really notice it on darker images. Just took this in garden as example. It’s a canon 5d mark iv.
Is there anything I could try myself or it needs a professional repair. And it’s definitely camera not lens as tried another lens.

Just bumping if anyone has some thoughts on this ?

Yeah never use live view good idea I’ll check. Actually just checked the raw images from the shoot. We’d moved location the very first shot was fine and then it started after that. I’ve seen people say a shutter problem would be black lines so not sure.

Ok so bit weird. When use live view another line appears in the center, viewfinder still just line on the side. Exposures are slightly different as well.

Have you tried with a different lens? To eliminate the lens.

Also, a shot entirely lit by flash. (so the shutter is fully open at exposure)

Ah after a lot of googling I finally found an identical image. Says it’s shutter. Anyone had shutter on 5d repaired/replaced ? Any ball park figures thinking £200-300 ?
