One of the kids has managed to knock my camera with the flash on over and snapping the shoe on my flash:'((nissin di622)

I imagine it's just a case of unscrewing the foot, a bit of soldering and screwing the foot back on( I hope)

Had a look on evilbay for a replacement without success so were is the best place to find a replacement shoe:help:

Hi, I would advise that you do not open up a flash unless you know what you are doing - they have capacitors inside which hold charge. They are very capable of causing serious injury or worse.

They do, but you don't have to go into the flash itself, the foot looks like it comes off after you undo a couple of screws, tried to ring the distributers today to see if they do spares but they were shut:'(

I dropped one of my camera's at a wedding rushing around but the lucky part about it. The only damage was to the foot of the Nissin Di866 I phoned the distributers and if I wanted the parts to repair it myself it was about £12.00 and about £22.00 if they did it, I opted for them to do it as when I opened the flash base it up it was that plastic like ribbon and was to worried I would cause more trouble and I just wanted it sorted it was only away a few days and back all sorted.

Just found the e-mail is was a little more then I thought for the repair

Just need to sort the camera, it thinks the flash is still attached, googling shows its probably one of the little springs at the side of the hotshoe but il try and fix it when I'm in a better mood :bang:
