Broken Ipad mini Screen

Office girl has just dropped her Ipad mini....she has ordered a replacment screen and asked me to replace it...No idea how to....any ideas or suggestions...I told her to go to local computer shop but she is reluctant to try the local comp shop

You'll probably need some spudgers and pry tools. Possibly a heat gun to melt the tape holding the glass down depending on model.

I have told her to take it to Apple...looks like a lot of hassle to repair......

Specialist job IMHO.. If Apple are reasonable, no brainer..

its easy enough to do yourself if you have all of the correct tools and are confident with fiddly little PITA connectors.

nope. like i say some plastic pry tools and spudgers. source of heat to melt the sticky tape. possibly some new sticky tape if the old stuff is narked.

there are plenty of non-apple places where you can get them repaired for much less.

i'll find out who did my bosses 2 repairs (dangers of having kids).

Plenty of shops on markets and high streets advertising a repair service.

If I'd dropped my iPad, I'd have a go at repairing it myself, but if a college broke theirs, I'd suggest a repair shop. If I break my own iPad further thats one thing, but if I break someone else's iPad thats another matter entirely.
