Broken canon flash

Had a lucky escape the other week when I stupidly left my camera on the tripod on a windy night. The camera fell, but luckily on the flash. The camera hasnt got a scratch on but the hotshoe part of the flash is broken. Its a Canon sppedlite 550 ex. The rest of the flash is un damaged.
My question is can you easily replace the hot shoe part of the flash or will it just be worth investing in a new flash.

Give Fixation a call - they repaired my 580 when I managed to snap its hotshoe off for around £50.
