Yes
Not many brits taking part, should it be renamed ?
Clean answers on a postcard please.

Thing like this and XFactor is dog poo IMO - Complete farce thats its called Britains Got Talent yet there not too many Brits. Not a problem with that but just change the bloody name!

I don't really watch these 'I Can't believe it's Not Talent' shows, but on the rare occasions I have seen them, I wondered why some of the dire acts managed to get as far as actually appearing on the show. Don't they have auditions to get rid of the dross?

A friend of mine commented today that he thought the two Geordie lads were good and had promising careers ahead of them!

Steve.

I've never watched a reality type TV show, since the very early days
of "I'm a celebrity" (or I soon will be) get me outta here on there PDQ.

Program's like that rot your brain, they should come with a public health warning :p
we need people with rotten brains to do the jobs 'brainy' people wont do ... I love it! (I don't really, I despise it)

I think the auditions identify any acts that'll make good viewing figures, so either the really good ones or the completely dreadful. Mediocre acts are probably sent home before getting anywhere near a TV camera.

I despise Europe's Got Talent and all the other so-called "reality talent" shows. But, I would happily ignore them all if ITV wouldn't force feed it on us by showing it every evening for two weeks solid.

Wrinkly legs and thighs elastic stockings/tights, wrinkly chest and neck, saggy boobs and thinning white hair just doesn't do it for me I'm afraid, thank gawd I had finished my tea when they came on  Getting thrown about by some plug ugly looking toyboy to be voted through to the final ahead of a couple of class acts is perverted in my view. I think this proves Strappy's comment once and for all.

It does have an off switch... or you could go out. I don't think it's force fed as it's your choice to watch it. It is crap though!

Probably. But why do the people in charge of these things think we will be entertained by mediocre acts?

I remember when TV used to be populated by entertainers who could actually entertain. Comedians, singers, magicians, dancers, impressionists, musicians, etc. (well, perhaps not dancers!).

Steve.

People like to see others fail.

indeed - "I'm a nonentity find me a new career" sounded the death knell for reality TV as far as i'm concerned - and BGT ought to be "Britain's no talent whatsoever"

There was for me only one reality TV show that I ever enjoyed watching and that was the BBCs Castaway in year 2000, I really liked the idea/concept and would have happily watched more of that than they actually ever aired

Lettice should win everything, and be queen of the world.

Didn't that spawn that toffee nosed pratt Ben Fogil

It was a good watch, that crotchety old git made it for me, some of the best beaches in the world up there, just too bloody cold to dip a toe in

I thoroughly enjoyed it partially I suspect because I quite like the idea of just going off an living somewhere remote like that :D
