Bridge cameras

I am downsizing and need a bridge camera, can anybody recommend a decent camera, must have good zoom range and cost less than £800

Both are 1" sensor so a cut above the average 1/2" offerings. I would say the only 1" bridge cam better would be the Sony RX10 IV, but it's way above your budget

The Sony RX10 III really only lacks the focussing speed of the IV but is still over budget new although there are plenty of good s/h ones available as people swapped to the IV.

Another vote for the Panasonic FZ1000. Very capable camera and can be had second hand for around £400.

I vouch for the RX10 3 - have a good hunt through eBay and you can find for occasionally £700 ish; firmly vouch for mine, I don’t seem to ever have any AF problems despite the claims - and I am hard work!

Having had a good read of all the reviews for top of the range cameras I have decided to up my budget and go for the Sony rx10 3.
