Yes
Do you think it possible that other EU countries voting may well vote us up a little as we about to vote on staying or going? The powers that be may well influence the vote, maybe? Any thoughts? If we come at the bottom again it may well have a negative effect on voters?

Just a thought, I am of the mind that we will do well this year because some want us to feel less rejected by others, Its always been my feeling that most of the EU members dont like the Brits very much! Any thoughts?

Why? It's not about the EU, it's about Europe.
And even that doesn't explain Israel o_O

One can only hope.
P.S.these quotes don't seem to be working well.

I'm finding it hard getting to grips with the idea of a corny song contest having an influence on global politics (and vice versa).

I think if Jedward II get a point it will prove the fix is in.

Does anyone really care?

Overheard a conversation of "IF we dont do better at Eurovision I am voting out". So while some here cant link it all up due to higher thought processes it may sway some to voting out. Maybe? I think we may well do better than of late.

However I dont care and dont watch and will be voting my mind on in or out regardless of any outcome of the silly contest.

Just goes to show then that a theory is just that, a theory and has little or no real evidence to show anything. Unless its proven to be true. unlike this one! (y):naughty:

Splitting the votes between industry 'experts' and the popular vote proved interesting.

We were in the top half (as good as we could expect for a fairly crap song) from the experts, and the Aussies would have won. Open it up to ordinary people and it becomes all about the eastern bloc.

It'd be interesting to work out what the table would've looked like with last years methodology, I wouldn't be surprised if Russia would have pipped it.

Did Ukraine win then?

Ha, I bet Putin will be spitting feathers. :D
