As title really I will be going to breacon on sunday for the day . Early start to late finish. Just wondered if anyone had any spots that are worth a visit...?

I am hoping to get some landscape shots and some water/ waterfall shots.

Many thanks in advance..

Hi MD,

A couple of the places I usually goto are Talybont Reservoir and Upper Neuadd Reservoir. Upper Neuadd has some good views across to Pen Y Fan.

Regards

if you go to Talybont on Usk village, there's a trout pool just downstream under the bridge by the pub ("Star Inn" ??) - good looking upstream to the bridge
also the lockgates over the Usk

BIG FAVOUR !! if you have the time...............

if you go there, could you take a few pics of 7 Powells Terrace [adjacent to the bridge], the bridge, and the pub
#7 was my parents old cottage - lost all my photos in a fire. Ever grateful....

also the bridge at Abergavvey is classic

thanks but realise you have a busy day !!

if the weather is crap up on the hills and you are forced into local shots - the old church and graveyard at Talybont are quite atmospheric in the fog

If you go to Brecon Beacons in the winter make sure you pack your thermal underwear. The SAS send their guys up there in the winter so they can prove how well hard they are!
