Breaking Bad? CONTAINS SPOILERS!

It gets better as time goes on.

:)
It gets better and better, like a great book that you can't put down.
I'm going to watch it from the start again. Yay!

For me Breaking Bad is one of the best TV series of all time. Possibly THE best.

The characters were all believable and none were just cardboard cutouts. The plot kept me coming back for more, and unlike many TV series there was an actual story being told which developed through the series.

Only one episode I didn't enjoy was the one about the fly.

I watched the whole thing back to back over a few weeks. Tempted to start again now I've had a break for a few months.

.

The fly one did go on a bit.. but i laughed out loud at... Why? what did it do? :)

Series one might be hard to follow.. but believe me worth the effort everyone...

We (t'missus and I) watched all five seasons/series as a box set a few weeks ago. Great viewing but I have no desire to watch it all again as I know what all the surprises will be. Might have to give the Wire a go next, though we're currently engrossed in Utopia - excellent stuff from Channel 4.

The wire is in my top two with breaking bad.. but sky just started showing "west wing" again.. not as intense but usual quality from american tv..

When Jesse's friend Andrea was killed by Todd in front of him, that hit me right in the feels.

I was going to mention the 'Fly' episode. Weird.

I was going to mention the 'Fly' episode. Weird.

You could read all sort of meaning into it, that Walt's pursuit of the fly reflects his growing obsession with cooking the perfect batch or his relationship with Jesse deteriorating and his need to control every aspect of what's around him or the fly represents Gus, always watching Walt and Walt can't do anything about it.

What I think it means is that every series has a bottle episode at some point, which is cheap to produce and gives the writers a chance to play about with dialogue instead of situation. :)

Holy thread resurrection :)

Just finished watching and I'm :jawdrop:

One of THE best series I have ever watched.

It was (insert 10 superlatives) .

Cheers.

Yep!
Worth watching Call Saul, takes an episode or two to get going as they set the story up, but he becomes likeable and tragic.

I am on S5E11 and don't want it to end :) Very addictive once you start to get into it.

I think like BB it's going to be a slow burner but this time with a built in audience, once they start digging into the characters pasts it'll be on fire like BB

Dexter is another series that's well worth watching

Started watching Saul, then dropped off the planner. Must get going on it again. Loved BB.

I loved it: jet-black comedy. We watched the whole run over 3 weeks in 2014. There were so many wonderful scenes and lines; a top-notch series.

Another one hooked on Crystal Meth :)................I'm having withdrawals as finished the last dose at the weekend.

I've just gotten my missus into Breaking Bad and I'm loving watching it again. She was convinced she wouldn't like it but after 2 episodes she's hooked!
That second episode is the killer. I think the bath scene is what hooked me initially, and it's now one of my favourite series of all time (granted I don't watch all that much TV) even though there's not really anything else like that scene across the entire show.
