BRASH???

My last warning, as stated in the thread was my last and final warning
That would have been prior to a suspension not a permanent ban.

what did Neil do to get banned for 2 weeks, (if I may ask the question)
No, I replied directly to your question, as you asked.
However I'm sure that people that get perma banned or long term leave, wouldn't want the reasons known publicly.
There have been far too many witch hunts and gang mentality posts in the past, we seem to have moved away from these over time.
Lets no go back there Eh?

I really have never gone back to whatever the old days where, I try to be as constructive and helpful as I can and when people are offended by me I just put them on my ignore list - it's a short one!

I wondered where he was too
I have fallen out with him in the past but then I realised that he was just joking (I'm a bit slow on the uptake sometimes!! )
But afterwards realised that he was an ok guy and I think that the forum is a poorer place without him and his no nonsense style

A skinhead Aberdonian, what's not to like?

Just a (innocent) question as sometimes I do see inconsistencies

How many points does

"I have forgotten more that you will ever know"

and

"You Buffoon"

and

?

in separate threads ................. get you

unless they are "reported" RTMed, are they not acted upon

Each argument, exchange of childlike behaviours are taken on their own merits and are usually laughable,
arrogance is usually treated the same way.

However personal attacks ( especially with venom) such as
calling people f*****g idiots, t***ts etc generally earns a either or both a break.

What members see in public is only half the tale. We remove posts from members that may never get seen by others.

So seeing someone 'get away' with something while someone else gets banned / suspended for a lesser 'offence' isn't necessarily true.

If you must know, BRASH was banned for, I suppose, 'bullying' other members (No not specifically just one, so before anyone replies and mentions Den). Not always through direct comments but also through tag teaming with other members. Digs here and there that add up to a bigger picture. Always staying the right side of the letter of the rules. Well we put a stop to it.

I'm sure he's a lovely person but he had his chances on here. He was asked to stop it umpteen times. He was warned and given points umpteen times. He had posts removed umpteen times. He didn't stop.

[OT]LOVE the custom title!!![/OT]

I do not want to really continue the argument but I could show both sides

I never use the word f*******ing and did not use the word t***ts ........ and if I do use the word t*** it is a term of endearment as far as I am concerned

Vanity and arrogance are the evils that I see in certain instances ... these can be disguised but are generally obvious .......... most people have fought against such in everyday life so it is quite normal on the forum ..... it is very obvious in a number of cases and this is the common denominator that I see and is far more destructive than the odd insult, IMHO

.

That is true, I noticed that three went - quite ironic when one started the thread "how do we sort out the problems in the bird section" or similar

Nature and wildlife forum and he is Scottish - do they still have wolves up there?

No one is saying you did, I used these as some of the worst examples we see from time to time.

1)one thread, continued insults exchange resulted in both being warned.
2) continuing to bait another member, in another section and finally said .... "What a pillock" when you disagreed with their comments ( warned)
3)and then another member again you disagreed with a comment ... "asinine - you are indeed, but I would prefer the word "pillock" which is more direct" (warned)

And that is 3 separate members since Feb 29th this year, do you honestly think that is acceptable behaviour?

How about, it's a simple f*****g question?

now now.......you seem to indicate a touch of annoyance, again I could be wrong, if I'm not, I have to wonder why

Yes that was annoyance :). Because I asked you a simple question, you refused to answer it, then you insulted me (completely uncalled for).

That behaviour is designed to annoy, indeed could be correctly described as trolling, bullying or just being a cockwomble, but no doubt you'll not understand - despite several other members asking you to give an answer to a simple question.

Again - do you want to elucidate?

See? And this is the sort of arguing that spoilts it for everyone else.
So what is the correct response to someone who refuses to answer a straightforward query and instead does this...

You see its at this point where I start to think you are looking for a reaction, maybe trying to belittle me, make me look stupid.....of coarse I could be wrong, maybe I misinterpret your humour........anyway, which ever it is........I'm too thick skinned to give a f**k! :D

you refused to answer it

Because that's my choice, I do have a choice do I??

then you insulted me (completely uncalled for)

Well if I did you'll have to quote it......I certainly didn't mean to insult you.

One thing I don't agree with is insulting people on an internet forum because any idiot can hide behind a keyboard.

If I'm going to argue with anyone I'd rather do it face to face........and ffs don't take that the wrong way! :)

why didn't you highlight the bit where I said I could be wrong?

And Vivienne?

I'm trying to guess your full (Christian) name - I only know your diminutive

If it is Saturday, I should not have checked the car tyres this morning - I normally do that on Sunday

no wonder the cricket has not started

Murder! It's usually murder. Murdering a mod perhaps. That'll get you suspended. They don't like that.

Why did I want to read that in the voice of Corporal Jones from Dads Army.......all it was short of was ' they don't like it up 'em' at the end :D

I'll be honest I don't really understand how people get so mushy over a banned member, did he have good points yeah he did I'm sure but when the positives are completely and utterly out weighed by the negatives then the moderators have to take action...and this is what you see from the above posts from both the staff and the Admins...

It's not like the didn't give the man and his cohorts enough opportunity to change there ways, they chose not to do so, in make that choice they chose to longer be part of this wonderful community...frankly I fully support the green team in their actions I know they down take it lightly to permanently remove someone from the community so for them to do so means they had very good cause to do so

Do you think that I should have the chrome bits on the front painted black? ........ and obviously the headlights "smoked" a bit?

what do you reckon?
