brands hatch tip's

hi there im goin to brand's hatch on saturday and i was just wondering if any one had any tip's it my first time to a track with my camera. my freind is in a race and i want to get some good pics for his wall. he will only be on the track twice both for 15mins. so not alot of time. is there a better place to be that you no of. i dont mind if i have to make a quik run.
also is it ok if i shoot in RAW for motorsport ive it can be a bit slower but not sure.

I can't comment on RAW but I suggest the inside of Druids (over the Carlube bridge) for the best plcae for close ups with no fences to get in the way. If you have a light alloy set of steps you could get some good head on shots from over the top of the fencing from the outside of Druids. There is also a camera position hole in the fencing on Clearways just before the cars come back round to start back onto the start/finish straight.

You may also be able to get some over head style shots from on the terrace on top of the toilet block opposite the pits.

Inside of Surtees, inside of paddock, there's quite few good shots to be had at Brands. Just look around, and use the support races to try some ideas.
