Brake disks corroded

already edited my post within about 1 minute of posting it.
can't be bothered trying to defend the motor trade from the ignorance of armchair experts

You really think sounding so rude is defending anyone in the trade, given several people answering this thread in a more polite manner are in the trade?

Edit: OOps, sorry Rob, didn't hit refresh before posting, basically saying the same thing ;)

To be fair Adam, she wasn't claiming to be an expert - she was asking a civilised question on a subject she made clear she wasn't clued up on. Nowt wrong with that.

I do agree that a number of checks should be carried out by everyone preferably every week on fluids, tyres, bulbs and brakes - things that can be eyeballed shall we say, making sure nothings loose or leaking.

obviously..

still plenty of misconceptions in here though

as soon as i posted i regretted it hence the immediate edit.
i get enough of it during the week:bonk:

sorry guys. me getting short & possibly rude with people was the reason i tried getting out of this thread the instant i got into it :bang:

the customers i've had this week would make a saint cry :bonk:

after i first moved into reception (after 27 years in the workshop) the customers literally did drive me to drink!
i think i spent around 6 months as a borderline alcoholic :gag:

i'm on one of my winter detoxes at the moment so not a drop for the last 2 months or so :)

now its just another day in the funny farm. get em in, get em out & hopefully a few smiles on the way

i think because of a solid grounding in how the cars actually work i am capable of giving sound advice & its frustrating seeing threads full of motortrade misconceptions all over the net...
