Hi guys

I've just come back from the gym. Did a boxing / kick boxing session today, and its the first time I'd tried it. Oh my, what a workout. My arms and legs are like steel  It was SO much fun :D

Is it wrong for me to partake in such violence ? :D

Any ways, I can't wait to try it again, but I want my own gloves. Now I've seen some nice Adidas ones but I have a choice of 8oz or 12oz. What's this all about? I didn't ask my trainer at the gym coz I wasn't aware, I thought they were a one size fits all.

Any advice on these or any others appreciated. I want a decent pair and don't mind forking out.

Kind regards

Sarah

From what I gather its all about the weight, so I would say a pair of these
:D

Nope, I saw them earlier while looking for some props for my events box!
I'm sure the weights are about different classes of boxer, novice etc

I have to admit I never thought such violence would come out of me. Its so enjoyable beating the crap out of something :D

It can be very liberating!!
(you should try shooting next, that can be just as good)

Actuall boxing gloves are 3 sizes small, medium, and large, there weight is a seperate thing altogether.
The average man will need a large size. The average women is medium. This can vary between manufactures as with just about everything, but is fairly standard.
The heavier the glove, the more protection it offers. For beginners, 14oz and 16oz gloves are recommended. For sparring purposes, 16oz boxing gloves are standard.

For training purposes, most gloves weigh 12oz, 14oz, and 16 oz.
