Boxing documentary - The Fight of Their Lives, Benn vs McClellan - ITV1 10:35pm

i watched it on monday night... there's not many programs which bring a tear to my eye - but this did.

You don't realise at the time how much went on before and after the fight. Very good viewing.

The only bit that grated me was how Benn became a born again Christian. Because he cheated on his missus, took drugs, partied etc... why should it take Jesus to change his ways... just a feeble excuse IMO and a cop out.
 
I agree, an interesting documentary.

However my sympathy for McClellan ended when the dog fighting was brought up.

That's where my sympathy ended for him as well.

A superb documentary however, very well put together.
 
Aye, I didn't really know much about the background story or thereafter.

I didn't think any of the folk involved (fighters, trainers, officials, promoters) came out in a good light whatsoever.
