Bowens vs Elinchrom

i think hes suggesting that Garry is trying to smear the opposition. not sure why that is a smear, given that garrys products are made in china, but perhaps we'll find out sometime

I don't understand how having a factory in China is crossing the line regardless of the company? China are becoming the place to be and it's happening fast!
Nor do I. All that matters is the quality of the design and manufacture.

you crossed the line IMHO.

Well you and your little buddy certainly did!! Normal people do not join a forum and then start having a pop at people. Why dont you be a man about it and tell us who you are and why you have an axe to grind?

Seriously, WTF? This is better than telly.

Anyway....I've got a bunch of Elinchroms (um, 7 I think) that I'll be flogging soon. I prefer the locking ring but I prefer the wider availability of S compatible mods more ;)

The D-lites I have are pretty cheaply built but OK. For the money they are fine but I think you can do better at the budget end of the market. The FXs I own are nice but I think they are a little on the expensive side. The old school ones (can't remember the badge but I think they are the original FX heads) are made of metal and have a reassuring smell of burning when you use them hard. Love them.

BTW is Lencarta publicly traded? I might get me some of those shares - they seem to be going places :D

I may be new to this forum but not to Photography and not business world. Afterall I cannot join scores of photography forums on the web, I'll be diong that and no work whole day. By alleging Elinchrom has factory in China, you crossed the line IMHO.
