I need to use some of my extensive array of Elinchrom modifiers on a Bowens fit Lencarta Safari.

Does anyone use a converter speedring that they can recommend ?

They're available on ebay fella.

Makes me sad that you won't be able to use the best part of the eli modifiers, the deflector in the centre :(
 
Cheers - was looking for a recommendation really as some ebay fittings are better than others...

Not all my modifiers have a deflector, but it didn't occur to me that that wouldn't work.

Is it a positioning thing ?
 
The deflectors on eli heads go straight in the head, in the centre, where the umbrella hole is. No other heads have this. IE if you try and use an eli beauty dish on a bowens fit head, you won't be able to fit the centrally located deflector.

You can use the deflector with any modifier for a different light, in my opinion one of the strengths of using eli lights.

The deep octa is a fantastic example of this, you can shoot it with no diffusion, with the deflector, with one layer of diffusion, with inner diffusion and deflector, or with two layers of diffusion. Lots of combinations with just one modifier :)
