Bit of an odd request but does anyone know where I can get a Bowen insert that is 145mm in diameter. I've searched the forum and found that Lastolite is 138mm, Lencarta in 152mm and Bowens quickring is 140mm.

Unusual size - what speedring is it for? You are only talking about removing 3.5mm off the radius of a 152mm one, do know anyone with a bench grinder? I've reduced one to use in a 'QuickRing' by grinding the circumference down - just needs a bit of care.

I currently comtemplating a portable flash system. I have a Lastolite Hotrod Octa that I would like to reuse rather than spend another 200UKP or so. The lastolite quadra ring for the Octa is 145mm in diameter. Hence I'm looking for a 145mm S-Fit to accomodate a possible Safari Li-On kit.

Two options spring to mind looking at the Hotrod Octa;
1. Buy another complete speedring set - but may have to shorten the rods a bit(?) I have Stripboxes, Softboxes & Octoboxes all different makes/sizes and I readily interchange the speedrings with no issues.
2. Buy a speedring adapter, 4x nuts, bolts & 8 washers - drill some holes in the adapter and just bolt it to the existing speedring - cheap, but you won't get any rotation.
Based anywhere near Plymouth, got a few spare ring/adapters and should have an 'S' fit you could try.
