Got a bit of a DIY project going on at the moment - anyone know where I can get a bowens S fit mount from? Just the actual mount with nothing attached to it.... preferably cheap and cheerful since it's a DIY thingummy. :)

Edit: I've got an old style Lencarta reflector that I don't use, but it looks like the actual mount is spot welded on the inside and getting it off would be next to impossible! :'(

Yup, that's it; the part with the lugs on it.... £20 seems to be the going rate for photography items that are actually worth about £2! :D :thumbs:

Such is life, everything unless a cheap Chinese nockoff is expensive :) but you get what you pay for most of the time so the £2 will definitely feel & look like £2 one, my ebay stripbox has an s-fit ring and its nothing compared to the lencarta speed rings in fact I use a lencarta speedring with the softbox because its so crap.
 
best play it safe then sir! and look for metal ones, when I was last looking I thought I found them for a tenner? I will have a search through my bookmarks tomorrow morning.
out of curiousity what are you diy'ing?
 
Beauty dish.... but it's quite heavy! No plastic tupperware bowl nonsense here you know... :D
