Yes
Could someone please tell me what the accessories are to the Bowens Pulsar.
I have a chance to buy a unit but it has no accessories. All I want it for is to fire a Bowens Gemini 500R so presumably it could do this without the accessories Would it be possible to buy these from Bowens or 3rd party sources.
Thanks
Dave

Looking around I can't see anywhere that lists any accessories with them, just the transceiver itself. At most all I could imagine would come with it is a sync cable?

I bought some years ago, IIRC there was a short sync lead, a 3.5mm > 6.5mm adapter and a slimline bungee cord for fitting the tranceiver to the head or generator. But don't take that as gospel, my memory could be wrong.

Thanks Chris and Gary my searches did not pick up any info. so appreciate your help

You should get a flat metal mounting plate with four self adhesive rubber pads a bungee cord for attaching that to the flash unit plus a short coiled sync lead and a 3.5mm > 6.5mm jack adaptor. At least that is what I got with mine!

Thanks Toxic, for the info.

You will also need the antenna unit and plug-in card for the flash head - sold seperately.

Yes, Thanks Cobra, thats about another £67 I think
The unit less accessories is £100, so £167 total??
There is nothing wrong with a cheaper Chinese radio transmitter I suppose, then I could spend my extra money on a lightmeter which may be more useful to me

I keep a 'cheap Chinese trigger' in the bag in case of failure on the Pulsar, though it's not been required so far. Cost £15 and plugs into the synch-cable socket on the flash-head.

It doesn't like rechargeable batteries though, I found. Even fully-charged rechargeables didn't work.
Even using cheap disposables, all worked fine - I can only surmise the slightly lower output (1.2v as opposed to 1.5v) was the reason for this.

Interesting, thanks, will bare that in mind
