So fed up with my old cheap nasty fiddly tripod. Crunch came on Sunday night trying to photograph the moon and the camera kept slipping downwards :bang: so.......

I've just ordered a Manfrotto 190 Pro with an 490RC4 ball head from Morris Photographic :D :D :D £199.90 for the two items, delivered!
Come on Mr Postman.......:woot: :woot:
 
thanks Joe, thats the kind of thing thats nice to hear after just parting with 200 quid! I'll post once I've got it and had a good play

I sold my Benbo trekker to finance the 30d, and I am hoping to get a Manfrotto 190PROB. Is the pistol grip type thingy any good??
 
Just had a look, that is some new toy - I wish you would stop buying things like that - I want one now!

I actually bought the 190 Pro based on yours and other comments on it in this thread John. So thanks for pointing me in the right direction! :thumbs:
 
Cool - its nice at last to be able give something back having gained so much from this site (sounds corny but you know what I mean!)
 
It's arrived a little while ago :D . The 190 Pro legs look superb. So sturdy compared to my old flimsy thing. That 490RC4 head is built like a rock :love:

Once I've got used to it I'll post a bit more detailed info about how I get on with it etc.

I got one of these when I bought the Manfrotto 055MF4 ... was not sure at first ... it really does take some getting used to ... but then I have been so used to 'normal' P & T heads like forever ... :thinking:

I would suggest you have a good play before taking the plunge J ... it will not be to everybodies taste and suits a strong grip perfick ... :naughty:
