Bought a Sony a200 tonight - poor thing's sat downstairs as I didnt buy a Compact Flash card at the same time.

Anyone have suggestions as to the best one to buy, and perhaps the best (i.e. cheapest) place to buy one?

play.com always worth a look.even there own make flash, works fine and is quick.

Is the Kingston one compatible with the Sonys?

I'm worried about shooting in RAW, so I guess it's better to go for say 8GB??

I use some Kingston Cards in my a200 and they have been faultless......in fact there is one in it right now!!

I shoot RAW+JPEG rarther than just RAW, and get around 200ish shots on a 4GB card at full res, I rarely shoot more than 200 shots in one session so 4GB suits me fine.

If you were shooting RAW only, you'd get a few more but how many I don't know:shrug:

I have a 8GB and then a 4GB as a backup, but 2 4GBs would do the job too. Just depends how often you're going to upload photos to the computer. Oh and I shoot in RAW+JPEG :)

I have 2 8gb Kingstons and have not had any problems thus far.

I'd recommend not filling one card completely before moving on to the next one as there's more chance of something going wrong if the memory card is full to bursting with images.

For my 8gb cards I don't really want to go above 6gb before changing to the other card, likewise if you opt for 4gb cards don't go above 2/3 full.
