How do you create, say, an A4 borderless print in either Lightroom 3 or L4 please as I'm struggling to get rid of the stroke.
Thanks
Dave

Any experts on Lightroom printing??

NEed a bit more information really.

If your digital image file is sized correctly and you're then printing it at 100% on an A4 page using an A4 printer... unless your printer is set to print oversized and print over the edges of the paper, you will always have a border on your prints. It's not lightroom that's the problem, its the printer.

Other than that, i'm really not sure what stroke you're referring to.

In lightroom's print area... there is a "stroke" option to put a thin line round your image. If that's the problem then just untick the box!

Thanks Steven, sorry, probably me but when I said 'stroke' I really meant the white edge around the image....not a stroke around the image as such.
I'm trying to get a borderless print but in Lightroom I cannot reduce the margins to zero they always add that little bit on and when I go into the Basic printer page and check 'borderless' the margins still remain the same.
I normally print from Photoshop and just check the 'borderless' box and hey presto but thought I would try L4 to see if the quality of the prints are any better,at the worst, I can stick to Photoshop.
Any ideas anyone!!

You need to tell the printer to print borderless On my Epson it's an option within the paper size option. In Lightroom go to page set up and select the Borderless option ( if you have it for you printer) from there.

i.e.

A4
A4 Borderless <
A4 Roll
A4 Roll Borderless

If you print a lot of images borderless then it may be worthwhile setting this as a template

Hi John - thanks for your suggestion.
I have put borderless in the paper source for the printer but in L4 it still shows a border in the margin sizes and in the cell size it shows a measurement of 285.8mm height x 203.9 width rather than 297mm x 210mm which is the size of A4 borderless.....so even thought I am changing to the borderless option for the printer, Lightroom is not making those changes.
I think I will Edit in....Photoshop and keep printing from there.
Just though L4 may give me some better options but so far its not!!
Thanks again
Dave
PS printer is the epson 1400 A3+

Update, for some reason my margins in the Print Mode did not allow me to reduce them to zero and put in a cell size of A4 but now it does.....very strange, but then, many users of L4 are having weird things happening
Dave

LR was probably keeping your cell size from when you didnt have borderless selected, now you have selected borderless it will let you make the cell size bigger

I found it by mistake! :bonk:

use Picture package (top right) NOT Custom package.

Then bottom left Page Set up.

What I like about LR4 is that you can compensate for difference between screen and print in Color Management Print adjustment brightness.
