Borderless printing

I use Lightroom 2.4 and print from that on an HP B9180.
I can print borderless on most sizes, A4, A3 6x4 Etc. But not on 'custom' sizes.
Anyone know how I can do that? Even using different software to print from?
I want to print on half an A3+, which is 24x33cm but LR/printer will not let me print to the edge, it gives me a margin of .25in on top and side and .56in on bottom which is wasting my paper.
I cannot print to this size using the HP software, it has pre determined sizes unlike LR where you can specify a size.
It is very frustrating.

Dave.

I have this problem with custom sizes, so for an 8x6 borderless print I make the custom size 8.4x6.3 and trim the edges.

Works for me, failing that try DSCL or Loxley!

Read my mail.:bang:
What you suggests defeats the object of having a printer that prints borderless. I don't want to waste paper by having borders. :nono:

I had a similar problem, I had borderless printing set within Lightroom and on my print driver and they cancelled each other out for some unknown reason and I kept getting a border. This was on a Mac, might be worth checking to see if there is only 1 option for borderless print checked in the areas you can specify it.

With that rude response, I'm almost minded not to respond I have to say.

I don't know the HP but most printers can only cope with printing borderless on set sizes of paper and not any. It's not a Lightroom issue, it's a printer driver issue.

Thanks for your response. Sorry if it seems rude but I do get frustrated when folk don't read the question.

Did you get this sorted?

Did you get this sorted?

No. I did get an email from HP support pointing me to one of their support pages but I suspect that they did not understand my question. I am still hoping against hope to resolve the problem.

I suspect qimage may do what you want. LINK
You can get a 30 day trial so it won't cost you to find out anyway.
