The TP 52 - 2025 Boot's 52 for 2025

Oooh, big points there! Mahjong is one of my favourite games

Week 37 - Emotion(al)

"Oh my ears and whiskers, how late it's getting!"

Six weeks behind... strap in tight for some serious catching up.

First... prepare for some gratuitous shoehorning.

I have been rather busy doing "ordinary" stuff, and I have been feeling rather "Emulsional" about it. Geddit? Emotional - Emulsional? Oh, please yourselves!

Week 38 - Your Favourite Place

According to Google, this has been my favourite place for the past few weeks...

A good start to the catch-up! I hope the finished walls can make it in somehow too :ROFLMAO:

All done now hopefully? Though once one area is finished ……
Just done our kitchen, you have my sympathy

Week 39 - Eye and Tech - Negative Space

All far too literal for my taste, but PABD

Thanks Keith!

Mostly done, but of course, "done" is only a temporary state of affairs.

Good catch top Paul.
Any chance you can pop round and do my decorating?

Week 40 - Heavy

This is a return to an idea I last tried Feb 2022 (I checked), but wasn't entirely happy with it then and wanted another go.

Heavy 2.jpg

This might require a bit of explanation, especially for people who haven't Scotland (why not!) or drink beer (ditto).

This is a pint of strong ale, which north of the border, they might refer to as "a pint o' heavy". In fact, this one is sufficiently strong (6.3%) that they might call it a Wee Heavy.

They might also refer to it as a "90/-" or "90 shilling" or "90 bob". This refers to the excise categories introduced well over a hundred years ago, and long discontinued, as is the currency referred to - but hey, why change something which works?

I don't usually show also rans, but here was my original effort.

I'm glad I went back to the drawing board.

Oh, and the beer was lovely!

Week 41 - Night Photography

Back to my occupation / mission / obsession / compulsion / burden.

Night Photography 2.jpg

For those of you so keen for me to take on your own decorating jobs; sadly I have to inform the group that I have decided to give up decorating. Sorry! (Not sorry)

Ha! That just sums up my life at the moment!

Love the night shot and I feel your pain with the decorating I do a lot of that in work.
The olympic masking tapes is quite an amusing idea.

Thank you Allan. The Olympic rings idea worked better in my head - but then again, don't they all.

Little behind on my commenting...

Really like your Heavy shot and your night shot

Great colours in your Autumn shot and very creative with your circles.

All really good.

Week 44 - Old vs New

Pennies.jpg

Lacking in inspiration on this theme.

Now, in the interest of full disclosure, those in the know will realise that the "new" penny is, in fact, not new. The design for the King Charles III penny is a dormouse, whereas this is the "partial Royal Shield" design. This coin dates from 2017, but was nice and shiny - all the more so after a bath in vinegar. Like many people nowadays, I rarely use cash, so I don't have a new "dormouse" penny, indeed I have not seen any of the new coins or notes yet.

Somewhere I do have a full set of the "new" decimal coinage as introduced in 1971. I did contemplate an old "new" coin and it's new, but tarnished version, flipping our understanding of new and old - but then I couldn't find the set!

But PABD!

I don't mind at all if you try your own take on a similar approach.

Good take on the theme Paul - even if you bent the shoehorn to get it :p
