Would like to know if this is doable. I'm on a mac. Already have bootable backups on site but would like to look for similar solution on the 'cloud' so that I can get things up and running pronto should the property burned down or robbed!

I don't actually want to boot from the cloud but rather want to be able to 'ghost' so that I can get going without installing all the apps from scratch. Hope that makes sense.

It's more than that - it's all your preferences and set ups. If I loose all my stuff I'd still have to download all the apps from scratch anyway, then install one by one then configure to how I had them before. So this cannot be that much longer, if at all. The whole point of ghosting is that you have everything exactly as you had it, so no messing with fresh install and updates etc.

The Acronis can only do ghosting on local drives - as mentioned, I already have this. Their cloud does not offer full-image backup. This is just a conventional backup software that also offer a standard cloud service.

Thanks for trying guys, either there's no such solution or I'm not explaining clearly...

Are you sure?
I don't do it but have just this moment activated a 'cloud' trial to my Trueimage and it is showing the ability to backup my entire drive to the cloud.

Scroll to the bottom of their page where it says features, then click on 'cloud'. You'll noticed that on the 'backup features' it says full-image backup, not so for the 'cloud features'. There's a distinct difference between a 'full-image' back-up and a full backup. The latter just means it backs up all your non-OS files.

Interesting ... when I schedule a backup to the Acronis Cloud it shows a backup of my entire laptop, 984.9GB of used space, which matches the 'Used Space' on the two drives in the laptop. I can choose partitions or files if I wish but the first option is the entire used space of all drives/partitions in the laptop.
I'm no expert in Acronis but that's what's showing in my Trueimage 2017 ... I haven't actually tried it as I don't need it and I can't spent the time uploading almost 1TB of data just to check :)
