I am currently learning about lighting, can anyone recommend a good source to help me learn the basics? A book or DVD? Something that's really intuitive and interesting would be fantastic. Thank you.

Are you looking for studio lighting techniques? Commercial/Advertising Lighting? Environmental/Documentary Lighting?

Light Science and Magic generally comes highly regarded: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Light-Science-Magic-Introduction-Photographic/dp/0240812255

My personal favourite is Mitchell Kanashkevich - Seeing the Light (This is is more documentary based)
http://learn.mitchellkphotos.com/seeing-the-light.html

I have also been writing a short series of 5 article on lighting over the last few days (again more of a documentary based outlook) but may be of interest http://jacobjamesphotography.co.uk/category/tutorials/lighting-in-a-flash/

Thanks guys. I am mainly interested in studio lighting techniques, that is an area I will need to improve on. Thanks again.
