Booked as the banned at a Wedding

Would it be possible for me to come along and play second fiddle?
I have a huge passion for it and all my friends have said they like my fiddling, if i could do a couple of gigs as a second then I think i'll be good enough to go it alone and make it big.
I have been listening to fiddling for a while and decided to get my own, it's a bit tatty and beaten but I cant afford the bigger and better ones. Do you think i need to get any new strings for it, it sounds ok but not really like the ones I hear on the pro fiddlers web forum.

Anyway, if you have a chance for me to show you how good I am, I will let you use me again and maybe I can use some of our tracks to help me get more work, if it takes off as I expect it too, I should be able to retire on my own holiday island where I can fiddle for the love of it to my hearts content.

I'm not much good, tbh, but I'd love to stand and do that sexy thing with the mic stand, where you stroke it slowly up and down in time to the smoochy first dance. And if you have that guitarist who's got some strings missing, I probably won't really sound out of tune. ;):D

I can play the Bouzouki but im working in my uncles kebab house and takeaway that night, What a shame. :'(
