I am looking for inspiration/advice/education on posing subjects. Do you have a favourite book or website that you can point me to on the subject?

There's an app for that... Pmsl. There is actually an app on both phone and Android. I'm new to posing as apposed to standard shots.

It's literally called "posing app"

worth it if like me your new and lack the experience and knowledge of different poses. Or just looking for ideas for something different

There are a few - posing app is £2.99. Is that the one you mean? I'd prefer something I can study on the web but if this phone one is great i will get it.

It has... But there is more on the app. Not just 21 of each.

A book you might be interested in is. Photographing models: 1000 poses by eliot siegel

I just bought a book called:
Posing Techniques by Billy Pegram

Seems good to me.

I can recommend this app. Iam doing my first engagement shoot on Sunday-do you guys think it would be un-professional to open the app in front of the couple and show them various poses?

Can't see why not. Just say

"I've got something to show you how to pose, rather than me try and explain.."

Thanks for the tips. I have bought the app and will check that out.

You may look in professional of your stumbling with direction.

Either way, the option is there just blag it.

I don't think they know how much experience I have-no

Couple choices really.

Either study and hope you don't forget. Which you may kick yourself.

Have a crafty look when they not looking

Or just explain to them is easier to show them how to pose rather than tell and it's there for their benefit not yours
