Looking for recommendation for a Lightroom 4 book.

I've been using it for a while and have got the hang of the basics but would like a reference book to read at leisure to make my knowledge a bit more in depth.

So far I have found books from Martin Evening, Scott Kelby and Victoria Bampton.

They all seem to have their strengths and weaknesses, so for someone who is already a few steps up the ladder which would you recommend??

Thanks in advance

David

I have the Evening book and the Kelby one. As you say, they serve different audiences. The Kelby one is fine for what I need but stops short in places. The Evening one is more comprehensive but is harder to read (but no Kelby jokes which can get wearing after a while). Personally, I think it worthwhile having both.

I am afraid I haven't seen the Bampton book so cannot comment on that one.

The Digital Negative, Jeff Schewe, Peachpit Press.

I also have both and agree with the comments above. Kelby is more of a recipe book kind of approach (step by step on how to do certain things).

There is a free library module Kindle book here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Adobe-Lightroom-Library-Photographers-ebook/dp/B00F9YMMD0/ and the Develop module book by the same author is only 3 quid but may also be free at some stage as they seem to rotate these free Kindle ebook promos: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...rapher's+Guide+to+Lightroom+5:+Develop+Module

Not books, but there are some good free videos here: https://www.video2brain.com/en/digital-imaging-photo/free-lessons and creativelive have a free course starting today: http://www.creativelive.com/courses/revitalize-your-workflow-lightroom-5-julianne-kost

Plus lots of good free videos on youtube - there is a French guy who is quite good: http://www.youtube.com/user/cmoeu/videos
